Watch the cruise ships as they head to and from Southampton, the UK’s major embarkation point; anchor off beaches, woods, cliffs, and sandy beaches, or watch or even follow one of the many sailing races that are staged in, and from, the Solent – most notably Cowes week (the most extensive sailing regatta in the world), the Admiral Cup, the Fastnet race, and the Britain Challenge Cup.
